Mulberry Street: William's First "Friend Birthday Party"

There is this great Dr. Seuess book about a boy who walks to school everyday down Mulberry Street. All he ever encounters are normal things and he wants to see extraordinary things so he can have a good story for his dad when he gets home. So the book is made up of this boy's imaginative exaggeration of the normal. Great things that all build upon each other to end with a grand parade. The boy finally realizes all the exaggeration is too unbelievable and decides to just tell his dad what he really saw on the way home-the normal, everyday stuff. That's what we are sharing in this blog, so we thought Mulberry Street a fitting name. We sometimes feel no one wants to hear about our everyday lives, but hopefully you do. Enjoy!

William's First "Friend Birthday Party"

William finally got to have his very first "friend party" for his birthday. This year we had our family birthday party the evening of his actual birthday and had a friend party the next Saturday. William invited friends from church and school. He had a blast! We played games and the kids won prizes for each game they played. They also all loved playing on the swingset and just running around!
