St. Simons Island- Crabs and Planes
Toward the middle part of the week, William, Papa, Uncle Jason, and Dad started finding more crabs and stuff! In the orange bucket above you can see one of William's favorite finds. It is a large dead crab with a smaller living crab attached to it.
Also notice that in one of the pictures above, there is a tiny red plane. We were sitting enjoying playing with Joseph and Lily while Papa Bill was "hunting" with William and Mimi was taking a rest at the house. We noticed this red airplane flying over the ocean along the coast, right in front of where we were sitting. He kept coming back around and began doing all sorts of flips and twists and tricks. It was something to see! William and Papa Bill missed it, they were on the other side of the pond break in the beach. We had a free air show! Toward the end, we noticed the pilot had gone back up (straight up) and we both agreed it looked like he could stall from the steep climb. All of the sudden his engine turned off and he was nosediving right at where we were sitting. We both got up and grabbed Lily and Joseph. I don't think we really thought he was going to crash on us, but we were pretty sure he was about to crash somewhere. Right above us he cut his engine back on and swooped back up. It was one of the most impressive "airshows" I've seen in a while.
